The prices of petrol-diesel have not increased today. In the last five days, there is no change in the price of petrol in major cities. Petrol prices in Delhi are at an all-time high of Rs 105.41 per litre, while in Mumbai it costs Rs 120.51 per litre.
In other parts of the country, petrol price in Kolkata was being sold at Rs 115.12/litre, while one litre of petrol in Chennai was sold at of Rs 110.89 according to a notification from state-owned oil marketing companies.
Coming to Diesel prices, In Delhi and Mumbai the price was unchanged at Rs 96.67 per litre and Rs 104.77 per litre, respectively. In Kolkata the fuel was sold at Rs 99.83 per litre. in Chennai it costs Rs 100.94 per litre,
The fuel prices in India have been rising since March 22, when the results of five state assembly elections were released.
Early Asian trade saw oil prices fall for the second week in a row, after international consumers announced plans to release crude from strategic stocks and as Chinese lockdowns continued.
Brent crude fell 38 cents to $102.40 a barrel at 2202 GMT, while U.S. crude fell 16 cents to $98.18. Last week, Brent crude fell 1.5 % while U.S. while West Texas Intermediate in the United States fell 1%.
