This week Nifty50 gained 113 points closed at 17,784. BSE Sensex up 170 points closed at 59,447. HDFC-HDFC Bank merger announcement, Fed’s interest rate hike, RBI Monetary policy makes the market highly volatile and the benchmark indices closed marginally higher in the first week of April.

Top Gainers: Swan Energy, Shree Renuka Sugars, BLS International Services, Ramco System, Zuari Agro Chemicals.

Top Losers: Everest Industries, GRM Overseas, Future Retail, V-Mart Retail, AVT Natural Products.

Mid-cap Index:

Top Gainers: Bajaj Holdings, Tata Power, BEL, JSW Energy, Vodafone Idea.

Top Losers: RBL Bank, Rajesh Exports, Mphasis, Zee Entertainment.

Large-cap Index:

Top Gainers: Adani Green Energy, Ambuja Cements, HUL, Tata Motors, Havells, ITC.

Top Losers: Infosys, TCS, Reliance Industries.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought Rs.6,337.53 crore worth of equities, while Domestic Institutional Investors(DIIs) bought Rs.4,161.54 crore worth of equities.
