Indices trade higher on elegant banking and metal stocks.
The BSE Sensex is currently trading at 48,825.43, up 106.91 points, or 0.22%.
The Nifty 50 is currently trading at 14,673.25, up 39.10 points or 0.27%. The Nifty Bank was up 1.35% at 32,903.80 and the Mid Cap Index was up 1.77%.
SBI Life, UPL, Bajaj Accounting, State Bank of India, and BBCL were the top gainers, followed by Tata Consumer, Cipla, Wipro, Reliance, and M&M.
Shares of Nifty PSU Bank traded higher, while banking and metal stocks were positive. Pharma, FMCG and IT stocks are in the negative zone.
Of the 50 stocks traded on the NSE, 33 advanced and 17 fell.
