BSE Small-Cap Index Trading Platform; Shares of DCI Express, Indiabulls HF, and Shakti Pumps are up

The S&P BSE Small Cap Index is trading in positive territory on the BSE on Thursday. The index hit a new record high of 23,093.28 after recording strong earnings by the respective companies for the quarter ended March 2021.

Shares of Automatic Print, Gayatri Projects, Power Pumps, Pokarna, TV Today, TCI Express, Just Dial, Walchandnagar Industries, Soral Infra Resources, HG Infra Engineering, Sivam Auto, and Emmy Realty rose 10% – 20%. Gather today’s session.

Shares of TCI Express hit a new high of Rs 42.57 crore, up 123.9% on the small-cap index. This is often evident in the fall in fixed costs and other costs that absorb cost controls in the context of higher sales.

Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd traded higher on Thursday. The company paid Rs 276 crore for the 4th Q4 FOY21. Q4FY20 PAT with 102% growth over Rs.137cr. The index is also one of the best contributors to the small-cap index.

Adani Total Gas Limited, Coromandel, IPCA Lab, and India Cements led the index gains.

The index’s other high-profit power pumps tripled the company’s revenue for the quarter under review to Rs 319.71cr, up three times from Rs 92.56cr in the same quarter last fiscal.

Meanwhile, benchmark indices are trading lower day by day in the metals, IT, and FMCG sectors. The BSE Sensex is currently down 241 points, or 0.48%, at 49,661, while the Nifty 50 is currently down 94 points at 14,935.
