India Slaps Anti-Dumping Duty on Vietnamese Steel

India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on certain steel shipments from Vietnam, following a year-long investigation into potential threats and injury to India’s domestic steel sector. The duty targets hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel from the Southeast Asian nation.

The ministry stated that the domestic steel industry has suffered significant injury due to dumped imports and warned of further threats to local steel mills if anti-dumping duties are not extended to other select goods from Vietnam.
