The Nifty 50 is currently trading at 14,821.40, up 96.60 points or 0.66%.
The Nifty Bank was up 0.23% at 32,902.95 and the Mid Cap Index was down 0.12%.
Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Adani Ports, Hindalco, and M&M were the top gainers.
Tata Consumers, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, and Infosys were the top losers.
Shares of Nifty Metal rose more than 5% to boost trading on Friday, while Nifty PSU punk shares are in the negative zone.
Of the 50 stocks traded on the NSE, 37 fell 13 early.
