Suzlon Energy has a total of 1,544 MW of wind projects, including a 378 MW order from NTPC Green Energy.

With the recent award win of a 378 MW wind energy project, Suzlon Energy Ltd. announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its largest partnership with NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) to 1,544 MW. The company claimed in a regulatory filing that the victory reaffirms Suzlon’s unchallenged market leadership and dedication to long-term, significant growth.

Under this deal, Suzlon will deliver 120 S144 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. Suzlon will also handle the project’s foundation, erection, and commissioning, as well as maintenance and services.

Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group Girish Tanti stated, “This partnership lays a crucial foundation for showcasing the key role of wind in powering India’s largest PSU’s renewable journey by providing high-quality, affordable power.” NGEL plans to extend its renewable energy portfolio to 60 GW by 2032. Our shared dedication to strengthening India’s leadership in the global clean energy movement has continued, as seen by our expansion into Karnataka and our initial project in Gujarat.

Suzlon Group CEO JP Chalasani stated, “A major component of our growth strategy is securing large, high-quality projects in the PSU sector, and our order with NGEL demonstrates the effectiveness of this approach.” It demonstrates our capacity to provide trustworthy solutions and help India achieve its clean energy objectives.

Suzlon Energy’s fiscal third quarter results report, which was published earlier in January, showed that net profit had nearly doubled to Rs 387 crore from the same quarter the previous year. On an annual basis, revenue for the quarter also nearly doubled, rising 91% to Rs 2,968.8 crore.
