In the context of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) Project in Maharashtra, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) stated on Wednesday that its Transportation Infrastructure company had obtained a sizable order for the Integrated Infrastructure Development project in Town Planning Schemes 2 to 7.
The project was given the go-ahead by City and Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CIDCO), it said, for the integrated infrastructure development of 45- and 60-meter-wide roadways, the building of a number of important and minor structures, and related electrical work.
According to a regulatory filing from the business, the project will feature four approach roads measuring 13.28 km with nine major structures, comprising three iconic steel bridges over the Kalundre River and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, twelve minor bridges, twenty-seven underpasses, and approaches to buildings. Utility and related electrical work construction is also a part of the project.
The company states that important orders are valued between Rs 5000 crore and Rs 7000 crore, mega orders are valued beyond Rs 7000 crore, and substantial orders are valued between Rs 1000 crore and Rs 2500 crore. Large orders are valued between Rs 2500 crore and Rs 5000 crore.
L&T reported a profit for the first quarter of its fiscal year in July of Rs 2785.72 crore, up 11.7% from the Rs 2493.00 crore reported for the same time in FY24. With strong execution in the Projects & Manufacturing (P&M) portfolio and a sizable order book, it reported operations revenue of Rs 55,119.82 crore, up 15.1% from the previous financial year’s first quarter of Rs 47,882.37 crore.
L&T saw a YoY gain of 8% in Q1 FY25, with orders totaling Rs 70,936 crore at the group level, helped by the robust ordering momentum in the Middle East.
