Global Arabica coffee prices hit new highs on Monday, as farmers were reluctant to sell their 2025/26 harvest due to the effects of a continuing drought and expectations of higher prices and concerns about future harvests. According to data, only 12% of Brazil’s 2025/26 harvest has been sold, below the usual average of 21%. Prices have risen 10% this year, reaching $3.5555 per pound.
Arabica coffee prices rose to $3.5555 per pound on Monday as traders continued to factor in uncertainty about Brazil’s coffee harvest. However, some traders said recent rains in Brazil’s coffee-growing regions had improved crop prospects and revived hopes for a higher yield. Arabica stocks fell dramatically, further supporting the price rise. The rise in the Brazilian real has also increased the cost of coffee exports for local farmers.
