The BSE Sensex is currently trading at 49,687.54, up 743.4 points, or 1.52%.
The Nifty 50 is currently trading at 196.70 points, or 1.34%, at 14,849.75. The Nifty Bank was up 2.32% at 33,493.95 and the Mid Cap Index was trading at 1.53%.
Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Eicher Motors, IndusInd Bank, and Kotak Bank were the top gainers, followed by Hindalco, Britannia, JSW Steel, Cipla, and Tata Steel.
Nifty Auto, banking, and financial services increased trading by more than 2%, while Nifty metal shares fell 1%. Pharma stocks are also fighting.
Of the 50 stocks traded on the NSE, 37 were up and 13 were down.
