Nearly 20 lakh bags are still with farmers, with only 3-4 lakh bags expected to be traded before the season ends. Production for the current season is expected to match last year’s levels, with India’s cumin output expected to be around 90-92 lakh bags.
Global supply from other producing countries remains constrained due to adverse weather, with Syria, Turkey, and Afghanistan contributing limited volumes.
