Godrej Agrovet intends to build a ₹250cr palm oil facility in Telangana

Godrej Agrovet is investing 250 crores in the construction of an oil palm processing complex in Telangana. The factory, which is being built in the Khammam district, would initially have a 30-tonne-per-hour capacity. A government statement issued here on Thursday stated that “the capacity can be quadrupled in a subsequent phase.”

Godrej Agrovet Ltd.’s managing director, Balram Singh Yadav, spoke with Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on the company’s investment strategy. He stated that the factory will be open by 2025–2026 and that 10 Godrej Samadhan centers would be available to the region’s oil palm producers.

In order to track the plantation and offer crop advise services based on images, the company stated it will use digital assets such as satellites, farmer applications, and drones. According to the Minister, the State Government has set a goal to encourage oil palm plantations on roughly 8 lakh hectares.
