Mentha oil prices turn soft on low demand

Mentha oil prices declined in the domestic futures market on Monday, weighed down by low demand at the spot market.

Around 11:15 am, the MCX Mentha oil was trading at Rs 1590.10 per kg, down by Rs 59.40, or 3.60 per cent.

A slump in demand from the consuming industry at the spot market and adequate supply from producing regions pushed mentha oil prices down.

Bullion ruled higher in the futures market on strong demand from local jewellers at the spot market and positive sentiment overseas.
